Chiropractic
The human body has an incredible innate ability to self-regulate, self-coordinate, and self-heal.
The brain is in charge of that, it sends vital messages to the body through the spinal cord and the nerves so that everything works correctly.
The nervous system is so important that it needs to be fully protected, by the skull and the spine.
Chiropractic focuses on the close relationship between the structure of the spine and the function of the Nervous System.
Any dysfunction at the structural level can cause interference of the messages between brain and body. In chiropractic, this is known as vertebral subluxation, which causes disturbances in the body’s balance or homeostasis.
The Chiropractor is the only healthcare professional specifically trained to detect, analyze, and correct subluxations through specific chiropractic adjustments, allowing the body to activate its innate ability to heal and maintain optimal health.
It is proven that the health of the Nervous System is directly related to the performance and health of your body, therefore, the better your Nervous System works, the healthier you will be and the better your quality of life will be.
Vertebral Subluxations
On a day to day basis, we are faced with different types of stressors, such as stress from work, bad posture, trauma or falls, sports injuries or even major emotional and mental stressors.
When the body cannot adapt to stress, a blockage or interference in the Nervous System can occur, we call this a vertebral subluxation.
Over time, subluxations decrease our body’s ability to function properly. In this diminished health condition, energy is blocked, our vital force is reduced, the ability to resist diseases is decreased, and the ability to adapt to the stresses of daily life also.
It is very common to have vertebral subluxations and not know it, because many times (especially at the beginning) they appear asymptomatic, therefore a regular chiropractic check-up is recommended to maintain the health of the spine and the Nervous System, and to prevent problems to occur in the future.
The Chiropractor is specifically trained to detect, analyze and correct vertebral subluxations so that your body works as its best and can adapt in the best way to the stress of your daily life.

The Triangle of Health
Dr. D.D. Palmer, discoverer of chiropractic in 1895, defined repeated trauma or micro-trauma of one of the 3 systems that govern our body as causes of dis-ease: structure, biochemistry and psyche.
All three factors must be balanced to allow for optimal health (“health triangle”). An interference that affects one of these three levels inevitably affects the others. As a result, the emotional and metabolic aspects also benefit in correcting a structural disorder.
